Team Spotlight: Josué Benigno Infante

People 06.11.21

The Faherty community — our team members, customers, and more — define who we are. This month, we wanted to shine a spotlight on a few of our LGBTQIA+ team members across the country.

Name: Josué Benigno Infante
Pronouns: He/Him
Role: Returns Operations

What does Pride mean to you?

Pride is an inclusive amalgamation of different people(s), personalities, and identities coming together to celebrate love, peace, acceptance, and the beauty we are to the world.

What do you wish someone had told you when you were younger?

There is nothing wrong with the way you look or talk.

What does it mean to you to be a part of the Faherty community?

I can be around people I know and can call/consider family — it means that I am heard and accepted for who I am, never judged.

What is something that not many people know about you?

I’m a playwright.

Anything else we should know about you that you want to share?

I was a gay activist at the LGBTQ+ Center. Was also a part of a gay chorus and youth pride chorus — we performed at the GLAAD Media Awards, GLSEN’s Respect Awards, Broadway Backwards at Lincoln Center, and with Cyndi Lauper for her True Colors tour.

And check out our Pride Capsule for a few of the styles our teammates are wearing — plus, 50% of the proceeds from it will be donated to The Audre Lorde Project
