Our appreciation of vintage design runs deep — from the old-school surfboards you might find in our stores to the heritage block prints that influence our seasonal prints. They capture our passion for high-quality craftsmanship, unexpected details, and sense of adventure. Because a thoughtful design has a story to tell…

When we started to design our Nashville-inspired fall catalog, we knew we had to hit up Hatch Show Print, one of the oldest working letterpress print shops in America. Their storied history dates back to 1879 and includes creating distinctive Americana posters for circuses and state fairs, as well as the acts that have come to define Southern entertainment: the Grand Ole Opry, Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, and Kasey Musgraves. Hatch Show Print’s posters are woven into the very fabric of Music City, becoming as much of a Nashville icon as the subjects of their artwork themselves.

For our collectible cover, the shop’s designers leaned into their vast collection of vintage type and hand-carved imagery. The individual blocks of 'moveable type' were then arranged into a caddy, forming words from the combination of letters. The rustic, handmade look can be attributed to the amount of pressure applied to the surface — a poignant reminder of the artisan behind the work. And last, but not least, the classic combination of golden yellow and blue represent all the good vibes and sunny spirit of Nashville.

As they say at Hatch Show Print, “Every poster tells a story,” and we couldn’t be more proud to weave ours together with them this fall. Enduring design and thoughtful production come in many forms — from limited-edition posters that celebrate a once-in-a lifetime concert to the timeless garments we make for life’s everyday moments.
