Team Faherty: Meet Tim

OK, SO WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY DO?

Who's askin'?

If your were to take a survey around HQ, I think that the general consensus would be that I SLANG. Within the realm of slang, I help make decisions that impact our company. I generally hold down the fort on the West Coast. I manage our wholesale relationships for half of the US as well as our major department stores. I travel a ton. I get to visit stores all around the country and meet our customers.

I play a role in our retail business - from merchandising to inventory planning to getting our new shops ready to open (our stores happen to be in some killer locations... #perk).

I also send emails really late at night and creep people out. I am a "night person" and with the time change (our HQ is in NYC) - my colleagues get emails at 4am regularly. Sometimes I even lend a creative eye to other projects that we are working on.

Everyday is different... and full... and awesome.

HOW DID YOU MEET THE FAHERTYS?

One of my best buds from college (who worked at Faherty) introduced me to Alex. We met up at the =V= Venice Ale House, had a few beers, some grub, and chatted about our lives and what we were currently working on. A few weeks later Alex asked me if I would be interested in joining the team at Faherty, and about three days later I landed in NYC for my first day.

Since then, I have been lucky to get closer with Alex, Mike, Kerry and Ava. They have all had such a positive impact on my life over the past year and presented me with a world of opportunity - I owe my buddy BIG TIME for linking us up.

WHAT'S YOUR GO-TO FAHERTY STYLE?

You will just about always find me with a pair of our 5-Pocket Comfort Twills on the bottom; they are a staple of the uniform. Up top, I throw on a knit first layer with a woven over...and there’s the go-to look.

Mike "Layerty" is my style idol - I really just try and see how many pieces I can get on... basically I look like a live version of our window mannequins.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE PICKS FOR SPRING?

Our Faded Green Plaid Brushed Beach Flannel is definitely one of my faves. I picked this one before we went into Spring '17 wholesale market last summer.  It's the perfect weight for early spring and the dusty color palette is rad.

The Salt Wash Indigo Stripe Polo is my front-runner in the knit category. It has an incredible high-low wash for a unique vintage look and it is insanely soft. If I am putting on a polo, THIS is the one.

WHAT'S THE BEST PART OF WORKING AT FAHERTY?

The free clothes! HA! Kidding aside, being a part of an amazing team and working to build an awesome brand and company. I learn every day. I have my hands in all sorts of projects.

I spend a lot of time on the road and out in California throughout the year, but heading to NYC for a few weeks to be with the team, get ready for market and figure out what's next for us is probably my favorite part. Also, when MF, AF and I play "Hunger Games" and decide what is "in" and what is "out" - finalizing the line for the season. There is something oddly satisfying about killing a style...

I am a lucky guy.
